Crabwise is a 2004 comedy/drama film, co-written and directed by Alexander Payne. These are according to a novel of the equivalent title by Rex Pickett (ISBN 0312324669).
Plot summary
Paul Giamatti plays an unpublished writer, eighth-grade English teacher, and oenophile named Miles, who requires his soon-to-become-married actor friend (played by Thomas Haden Church) on the week-long road trip through Santa Ynez wine country. Miles wants to ingest wine & play golf game, however Jack has more plans. He wants to "cut loose" prior to his wedding & have a go at it using more women. Presently fallowing their arrival it cross paths using deuce women (played by Virginia Madsen and Sandra Oh).
